# Make a Bufo

Use `assets/froge-original.png` as the visual reference. Inspect it before generating, and attach the original file to the image-generation request. Text alone is not equivalent to reference-conditioned generation.

## Choose the requested workflow

- To reproduce a benchmark task, read `references/benchmark-prompts.json`. Select the named task and use its `full_prompt` verbatim with the supplied reference. Do not append the creative recipe, polish corrections, or rewrite the task. The benchmark's frozen wording differs from the creative advice below. If a task name is ambiguous, ask which task the user means.
- For a new joke or scene, read `references/homemade-recipe.txt` and replace `{{JOKE}}` with the user's idea. Add concrete composition details only when they help convey that idea. Use the original reference even when the joke calls for a transformation.

## Make the image

Use an available image-generation or image-editing tool that accepts reference images. Follow the user's selected model, if provided. Keep the main subject readable at emoji size. Generate the requested number of images; default to one.

If no suitable image tool is available, give the complete prompt and the reference file path instead. Explain that no image was generated. Never silently omit the reference or claim a text-only request reproduced the benchmark.

## Check the result

Inspect the returned image. For a custom joke, look for the familiar Bufo face or a transformation clearly explained by the joke, simple composition, and homemade additions. Crude hands, flat fills, uneven outlines, and mismatched collage pieces can belong. A generic polished mascot is a poor fit. JPEG noise or shrinking alone does not fix polished drawing.

An accessory joke usually needs the original face and silhouette to remain close. A food transformation or deliberately low-fidelity redraw can depart further when the visual idea makes sense. A longer prompt is not, by itself, a reason to lose the character.

For benchmark reproduction, report missing outputs or obvious differences without changing the fixed prompt to improve its score. Do not invent a Bufo Score or claim that generation will pass the classifier. For custom work, describe any limitation plainly and offer a specific revision if useful.

Return the actual image when generation succeeds. If delivering only a prompt, clearly label it as a prompt, and tell the user to attach the bundled reference.
